God Answers Our Prayers
Yesterday, I was certain I am not gonna finish my program before the scheduled deadline. Everything turned out of place and I was losing hope. I still have to prepare the documents and test for code errors. Then, I asked for God's help. Early this morning, I received an email from my client. Good news! The presentation is rescheduled. I thank Him for another answered prayer. He hears all our prayers. We just have to ask sincerely and have an open mind. Below is another story that will lift our faith in Him. The story is entitled "The Old Man and the Dog" from Catherine Moore.
"Watch out! You nearly broad sided that car!" My father yelled at me. "Can't you do anything right?"
Those words hurt worse than blows. I turned my head toward the elderly man in the seat beside me, daring me to challenge him. A lump rose in my throat as I averted my eyes. I wasn't prepared for another battle.

"I saw the car, Dad. Please don't yell at me when I'm driving." My voice was measured and steady, sounding far calmer than I really felt. Dad glared at me, then turned away and settled back. At home I left Dad in front of the television and went outside to collect my thoughts. Dark, heavy clouds hung in the air with a promise of rain. The rumble of distant thunder seemed to echo my inner turmoil. What could I do about him?
